Charlotte L. Bowers, 79, of Rockville died June 26, 2009.

Born Aug. 18, 1929, in Buck Run, Pa., she was the wife of Richard R. Bowers.

Survivors in addition to her husband include four children, Richard R. Bowers Jr. and wife Debi and Elaine Brown and husband Dave, all of Mt. Airy, Brian Bowers and wife Patty of Ellicott City, and Chris Bowers and wife Maria of Olney; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Aspen Hill.

Pumphrey's Funeral Home in Bethesda handled arrangements.
