Survivors in addition to her husband include four children, Richard R. Bowers Jr. and wife, Debi and Elaine Brown and husband, Dave, all of Mount Airy, Brian Bowers and wife, Patty of Ellicott City and Chris Bowers and wife, Maria of Olney; 11 grandchildren and one great grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rockville, on Wednesday. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Pumphrey's Funeral Home in Bethesda handled arrangements.
